Chic Concert

Hundreds of white roses were the feature for this chic cocktail function with a private concert. 1.2 metre spiral fiscus topiaries were adorned with hundreds of white roses to create an elegant atmosphere in a pop up lounge area. These were offset with impressive large rose and carnation full floral balls on 50cm stem vases. A huge 4 metre fiscus was also draped in 25o white roses for a stage display. Bespoke letterpress invitations were also created, featuring 600gsm linen card, black petal-fold envelopes and a custom red wax seal. We also made a couture presentation bouquet which included 60 large white avalanche roses complete in a black full wrap with jeweled embellishment.

Country Wedding

Set in a quaintly beautiful church in North Auckland, this intimate wedding drew its colour and concept from the seasons, with the bounty of autumn represented in the floral decor and centrepieces. Moss, berries, autumnal foliage and succulents were mixed with roses in shades to match. Bouquets featured white avalanche roses, orange tulips, sunflowers (the brides special request) and an elegant oversized bow couture wrap. The reception featured variants of the bouquet and church decor including hydrangea, olive branches and berries with mixed roses in rusty tones.

Floral Couture

Cylinder vases were wrapped in a custom motif to echo the imagery for a retail product release. Moss and white roses with icy succulents were chosen to create a whimsical, yet elegant floral with textural contrasts to matching client branding. A presentation bouquet was also created, consisting of a couture floral wrap, lotus pods, white mixed florals including hydrangea, chrysanthemum, roses offset with silver cineraria.

The launch was then taken to Hamilton and then Wellington, where florals were switched up to include red roses, and hurricanes were grouped in a large installation. The presentation bouquet featured a couture wrap, 50 white avalanche and akito roses and bunches of white alstromeria. The centrepiece concept is currently on its way to Christchurch for an additional product launch.

Enchanted Christmas

An enchanted christmas theme, floating on the viaduct harbour, Auckland, was all about fairy tales and favourite story book characters. Elements of the forest and of enchantment, with a palette of greens and reds, included piles of antique books, baskets of rosy red apples, mossy balls studded with red roses and icy green carnations. Domed terraniums featured more references to fairy tale emblems, including teacups, ceramic birds, nests and eggs. Mossy votives created atmosphere and cherry trees were partnered with wheat grass trays, for a whimsical note.

Business Awards Dinner.

Innovation, technology and entrepreneurial spirit were actualised through the use of giant ‘chanel panel’ video installations and hundreds of dolly bulbs. Chanel panels (giant panels of tissue paper flowers) referenced the large carnation floral balls, which were offset with large dolly bulb arrangements which included lightbulb terraniums with Star Ball Pincushions or Scabiosa stellata.

We constructed giant chanel panels (inspiration: chanel haute couture runway 2009), which created an amazing textured backdrop for a fantastic ‘lightbulb’ video we found on vimeo by Jeremy Smith at jwsdesign.com. This was augmented with hundreds of lightbulbs, which created interesting interactions with lighting and glass surfaces. We added led hurricane lamps filled with acrylic ice.

Ladies Night Out

A mystery wedding shower for the bride-to-be, her mother’s and aunties and her best friends.

the itinerary:

Beginning with a high tea for her closest friends and family, this was the perfect start to a relaxed, girly celebration, inclusive of all age groups. Along with exotic teas, champagne and a tiered tasting plate of treats, guests took part in a fun quiz, complete with themed prizes. The party next moved on to a private room nearby, for gift giving and champagne. The ladies were then escourted to a private bar for cocktail lessons and tastings, and to party the night away.

the decoration:

White doilies, clear cylinder vases filled with soft pastel treats, such as marshmallows, macaroons and tiny biscuits became both the decoration and the dessert at this function, offset with white phalenopsis orchid pomanders.

the goody bags:

Goody bags were personalised and branded with a doily logo. The bags contained treats; green tea, cellophane wrapped sweets, pink lollipops, a mix cd of the bride’s favourite songs, as well as a survival kit; travel size moisturiser and lip balm, spare hair tie and pain killers. The bags also contained a personalised activity to complete with the bride-to-be as well as a handmade fabric flower, attached to a ribbon and could be worn as a headband, corsage or on the wrist.

Retail Event

We created a stand alone woman’s lifestyle event, in north Auckland, including 50+ retail stands, a catwalk fashion show and a huge wedding marquee with bar and restaurant. Attendees were treated to VIP goody bags and champagne, while they shopped and browsed through the pavilions. Building the show from the ground up, enabled us invaluable experience in promotion and marketing, sales and funds management, scheduling and planning as well as dealing with sponsorship and supplier partnerships.
