the colour palette:

sage green, whites with accents of pale grey.

the bouquets:

The bouquets were fashioned around the style of the bride’s dress; a vintage, hand beaded, antique gown.  We matched the floral elements to this antique theme by using ‘old fashioned’ wedding flowers including, lisianthus, star of bethlehem, white roses, and white freesias.  The overall look acheived was one of whimsical elegance and the perfume was exquisite. Stems were kept long and tied with white satin ribbon and fixed with a pearl pin.

the reception:

Whole chrysanthemum heads were immersed in cylinder vases,   rustic birdcages filled with white phalenopsis orchids  and white roses were hung and placed throughout.  Tables were dressed in white linen with accents of sage green.  Masses of white roses were arranged in large vases and grouped in threes or in groups of five and placed in key areas.

A large white marquee, complete with dance floor was decorated with white rice paper lanterns.  These were strung from the canopy, and were accented with streaming grey and sage green satin ribbon.

the wedding:

The setting overlooked the beautiful turquoise lagoon on Whiritoa Beach, and took in all the beauty of a typical nz beach scene, including an ancient pohutukawa tree.  The feel for the ceremony was to be elegant, yet casual and intimate.

Sage green and white fabric was draped over a bamboo archway, and was also used to demarcate the aisle.  Further billows of fabric were strung to giant frames to create intimacy.   White and Grey Ribbons were tied to a giant pohutukawa and created ribbons of movement in the breeze.  Rustic Birdcages, adorned with white flowers were positioned in key areas along with hurricane lamps filled with single chrysanthemum heads.
